That Yue and 1938China should be a real success. Makes me want to learn Mandarin.

The camera likes Yue. She makes whatever she says very fetching. I’ve always wondered what the cooks at the “…Wok” where I have lunch sometimes are saying.

To my naive western ears, their conversation sounds like the soundtrack to a Jackie Chan fight scene, but they seem perfectly amicable to each other.

Sometimes I think they’re saying, “these stupid Americans are so weird”,
but for all I know, they might be talking about Yue.
