YouTube Paying Means Nothing

The fact that YouTube is paying is no big story at all. Ad sense for video. And before everyone starts screaming about pre-rolls. They are talking about a 3 second pre-roll. This is perfectly acceptable and well within the psychological threshold for acceptance and understanding by a viewer. Every video you ever watched of mine has a 2 second pre-roll and a 4 second post roll.

I wish more people paid attention to that “psychological threshold for acceptance and understanding by a viewer”.
ReplyI’m always amazed when people are horrified that a company that provides a free service that people use attempts to make money off it. How do they suppose they pay the people who provide the service? Should the eat out of garbage cans and live on the street?
Brain damage. Seriously.
Good for YouTube, coming up with a business model. “Let’s hope somebody buys us” isn’t a business model, it’s a get-rich-quick scheme.
ReplyExactly.
