October 15, 2007 – 9:06 amSo NewTeeVee is having a conference and didn’t invite Scoble or Podtech. Smart move.

I don’t disagree with you on Scoble’s videos (I like Scoble a lot, but don’t watch his videos honestly) but I think his post made some good points, namely about what was missing from the conference.
The only problem is that all his points seemed to be “enhanced” by some video he had done himself with some guy making some system that won’t be there.
I don’t know… He’s not totally wrong, but his post did come off a tad pluggy.

Its always all about him. Here’s the secret, he’s a hack.
By Loren Feldman on Oct 15, 2007
Heh, some things don’t change. Loren attacked me before he was a PodTech partner and now he’s attacking me after.
Thing is I actually know how much traffic we being generated to Loren’s site. Hint: It’s about 10% of mine. Methinks you’re just jealous Loren cause my long-ass-boring-non-innovative videos are outpulling your little-fun-innovative ones.
Not to mention I have more Google Readers than you do. Hah! Google Reader says I have about 8,000 subscribers while you only have 140.
Have a good week!

Your kidding right?
By Loren Feldman on Oct 15, 2007
I got 8,000 you have 140, welcome to the web 2.0 version of “my dad can beat up your dad”
By graywolf on Oct 15, 2007
Actually I was being generous with “10%”.

Gray,
Can you imagine?
By Loren Feldman on Oct 15, 2007
I don’t like this. It’s like watching mommy and daddy fight.
Please guys. Play nice
By Vinny on Oct 15, 2007
Stop crying Vin, people fight sometimes. It doesn’t mean I (daddy) don’t love you anymore.

While this is all very important stuff, I can’t seem to find the video in which Yue discusses her nipples. Now that is worthy of my time.

Robert,
There are a lot more ants on a rotten piece of fruit than a fresh piece of fruit. The point, you sling pablum to the masses; Loren challenges assumptions and his audience.
Bottom line: you are correct, you attract more ants.

Hey Robert that’s like saying Coke sells more than spring water therefore it’s better. Because gangs of lemmings link to you and generate traffic doesn’t mean your videos aren’t long, boring, pointless, tedious and unwatchable. You’re a phenomenon. You have seemingly no skills for writing or video making but the masses have anointed you some kind of authority. You got to love the web, otherwise you might not have a job. It’s an old PR ruse to dismiss any challenge as motivated by jealousy. Sometimes it’s more visceral - like blech!

I would love to see Scoble (or Steve Gilmor), be on this panel:
The New Studios and Talent Agencies Face Off
What can content startups offer independent creators?
Talented people aren’t always entrepreneurial (the reverse is also true). What kind of production and distribution chops are compelling enough for independent creators to sign away some of their profits and possibly their intellectual property to an online video studio? What is the value of a network? Five competitors make their pitches.

Just having a discussion on the ubiquity of video and where Creative Commons fits into Studio2.0 would be interesting given Podtech’s record over the last year.
By schlomo on Oct 15, 2007
I have nice nipples, too.
Did Podtech ever get its fucked-up player working right?
That was a horrible pain in the ass– a fucking joke.
I don’t really want to know, because they don’t produce anything I want to watch.
I like Yue– what about Gloria? I dig Latina chicks.
My nipples are hard…

Agreed, most def Loren, you got it right again. Traffic != quality or value for that matter. Calacanis’ link-baiting as a prime example. I don’t bother with them or Tech Meme anymore, there is no there there.
