There once was a time, not that long ago, when the National Broadcasting Company was a respected news and entertainment company. Tom Brokaw at the Berlin Wall. Seinfeld, Cheers, The Cosby Show. Johnny Carson at the Tonight Show.
Now, they are so paranoid and desperate to make money, they:
1.) Have turned the Macy’s Thanksgiving Parade into an NBC infomercial
2.) Have turned The Today Show, another American institution, into a permanent infomercial for NBC Universal produced programming.
3.) Have damaged every professional football fan with flex scheduling (the ability to move the starting game of any game). Want to bring junior to that 1 PM game? It’s 8:30 PM now sucker! Plus, don’t even get me started with having Joe Theismann call the Jets game last weekend. Are you kidding me?
4.) Turned the Tonight Show and Late Night into a national joke.
WTF are they doing? They tell Conan 4 years ago the Tonight Show is his and now, 7 months later, they take it away. Are they serious? Do they understand Conan is going to get an insane deal from Fox and own that time slot for the next 15 years easy? Just dumb all around.
RIP NBC. We once loved you.
