I think Rudy handled the NRA pretty well, actually. You’re right though, they are one of the biggest hurdles he will have to clear in the primary.

Jvon,
It has been interesting to watch Rudy and Romney flip flop on so many issues in the aftermath of the way John Kerry was portrayed three years ago. There is just something about Rudy making cute talk to his wife that comes off as creepy and disingenuous.

A disingeuous politician? Say it ain’t so! I don’t think any of these guys will ever be able to compete with Kerry in the flip-flop category though.
Rudy coming out against Bloomberg’s attempts to get gun registration info for the whole damn country is a good move though, and one that makes sense on several levels. It is the right thing to do, regardless of why he’s doing it. So it will help him with NRA types.
I’m less concerned with what Romney is up to. I think he’ll wind up in 3rd place before all this is over.

Taking a phone call from stage is so old now. It’s just lame. I don’t trust any of the bastards.

ron paul is the only presidential candidate who’s honest and knows what he’s talking about. the others are just paid shills. of course, if people are ignorant and stupid enough to vote for the shills, than they get what they deserve.

I imagine come voting day that you will find that somewhere around 99.5% of the country is either “ignorant” or “stupid”, and doesn’t vote for Ron Paul.
