Make sure you don’t wear headphones when you are watching Mike Arrington’s videos.

Production value input. Needed tighter framing, so the outdoor shadows don’t show…go a half-apple mounted railroad dolly of sorts for the ground shots, tight frame, and can control the puppet, might need someone else controlling cam however. You need some Dollys, cranes and jibs for some dramatic impact, get a Steadicam/Glidecam too, for the HD, it’s way too shaky cam.

Also looks too much like the Scoble puppet, dice it up more.

But I am being overly picky, but the shadows in the picture are always no no’s, imho.

PS - You can do the tracking via strollers or shopping carts, wagons or bicycles, and even wheelchairs, or misc. other ideas. Ideal would be a swoop crane, down to a dolly ground-level track.

Agreed. I just don’t care honestly. The day these things take more than one take and more than a minute is the day I’m done making them.

Brilliant…. although I don’t think I’ve ever seen him outside by himself EXCEPT for when he wants to take a call without everyone else listening in :-)

One take is half just to establish the shot, which is exactly why User Generated Content, will remain Loser Generated, not picking on you, just waxing philosophical. Dozens of takes, gives you lots of editing wriggle room to go sizzle creative, but then you are talking production, rendering/edit times, etc. etc. A resulting five minute piece can take a full day, so understand totally, but happy medium.

The fact is, Oxford Shirts are sexy. Even on puppets.

    Golfgirl,

Oxfords are not sexy ever. They are boring and worn by boring conformists.

White tee’s are sexy. Me, Dean, Brando, Depp, do I need to go on?
