He’s been on Opie and Anthony a few times and he’s terrific. The great thing about him is he’s quickwitted and smart. You can’t be on that show and not be sharp. He’s brilliant without a script and that means he’s cool in my book.
Rowe is not so much a true scripted actor, as a character piece, and a great one at that. Another ‘on-the-level-of-Rowe-only-goes-to-more-dangerous-spots’ is Donal MacIntyre, host of tons of documentaries, including the ever-popular Discovery ‘Edge of Existence’. Don Wildman and Eric Geller are also in that category, I liked them both, buncha spew about who was the best Underground host, but they each had their own unique slant.

You love him because he has a forehead as big as yours. That’s the forehead connection.

Dirty Jobs is a terrific television show, in large part because Mike Rowe is the star. It’s hard to believe what the show would be without him.
Didn’t he graduate from Harvard or Yale or some Ivy League school?

AlexK and Loren, my mom told me that a high forehead is a sign of intelligence. Or maybe I learned that on a Star Trek episode. Whichever.

It’s true. You always get this “feel-good”-feeling when watching Dirty Jobs.
He is very down to earth and just seems like such a nice and cool guy.
Not to mention what he sometimes puts himself through.
Blogging is a dirty job, you don’t get dirty hands, but you could get dirt on your name.

Good concept, keep digesting that TV stuff because I never watch TV anymore and I never heard of this guy until now.
