March 25, 2007 – 6:01 pm

If there is an A list they get an F in design.

  2. Right on, Loren.

Design is content. At the very least it’s worth looking at the architecture and thinking about how you can find better ways to help people navigate your site.

By Noah Brier on Mar 25, 2007

  3. Of course. No excuse for these guys to have such horrible looking sites. Now your site on the other hand is really nice looking. Unique, efficient,it just screams of someone who gives a shit.

By Loren on Mar 25, 2007

  4. Hey man, ugly is evidently in. Ebay, Craigslist, MySpace; all ugly as hell and still wildly successful. You’d think that the A-listers could spring for something that looked a little more original than, say, a standard-issue Blogger template, though. And color schemes a little less vile.

  5. The Oracle has spoken (he looks better than he did this morning).

Chris Pearson could really suit these guys up in some tasteful duds.

Form should follow function, that’s why your penis widget was such a beautiful idea.

By Vince Williams on Mar 25, 2007

  6. So few people have good taste. My taste is impeccable, and it’s not about the most expensive. It’s about recognizing beauty, which most people wouldn’t know if it slapped them in the face.

For some reason I feel like killing someone tonight.

It’s gonna be a rough week for some assholes.

By Loren on Mar 25, 2007

  7. They can’t dress either. It’s related, I’m telling you.

By Jeremy Pepper on Mar 25, 2007

  8. my wife and I are laughing our asses off watching this in our hotel…. can’t wait to tape the Loren and Jason show tomorrow before the knicks game!

By Jason on Mar 25, 2007

  9. I’m on Long Island. Ever hear of advance notice?

By Loren on Mar 25, 2007

  10. yes but they have influence and you live at your girlfriends pad and they could care less what you think.

By Jimmy on Mar 25, 2007

  11. I am the most influential person on the internet, don’t you know that? Ask Calacanis he’ll tell you himself.

Jimmy at Godaddy? You banned guys are obsessed with me. You just can’t take it can you? You just have to know what’s doing here don’t you. So desperately want to be part of the cool kids. You weren’t in your youth and you aren’t now.

Must suck being you. If I didn’t think it was so funny,I’d almost feel bad. Almost. I create trends, you dopes follow them. ;-)

You’re also ugly. Just take an Ambien and try to go to sleep. Tomorrow’s a new day.

By Loren on Mar 25, 2007

  12. This coming from a guy whose site looks like like a particularly bad day at the slaughterhouse. Who’s your target audience for a site with so much red, bulls?
I’ve seen MySpace pages with more tasteful CSS.

By Ilya Lichtenstein on Mar 26, 2007

  13. What? I think there’s not enough red. Or maybe the red isn’t dark enough. I want something deeper, like crimson.

By jvon on Mar 26, 2007

  14. I like Ilya’s polite, diplomatic style. I think he went to the same College for Gadflies that Loren did.

And of course, Loren is even more humble than Mother Theresa.

You know, the color red stimulates the neurons in the aggression parts of the brain.

Maybe that’s why Loren feels like killing someone.

By Vince Williams on Mar 26, 2007

  15. Speaking of websigns, I love the new look you have at 1938Media. Very nice presentation theme. Keep up the good work, Loren.

By David Zemens on Mar 26, 2007

  16. Thanks David.

By Loren on Mar 26, 2007

  17. btw im color blind

By Loren on Mar 26, 2007

  18. Well Loren everyone knows that you will never be successful with this much red on your site.

By jvon on Mar 26, 2007

  19. Ilya seems like he fits in here perfectly.

By Loren Feldman on Mar 26, 2007

  20. I agree about Ilya.

He’s got an incredibly cool name, and he looks like Dostoevzky’s sickly brother.

For what it’s worth, I think you need less red and more gray.

By Vince Williams on Mar 26, 2007

  21. Only for you Vince. Fixed. More gray.

By Loren Feldman on Mar 26, 2007

  22. You’re there, baby.;-)

By Vince Williams on Mar 26, 2007

  23. Dammit, are you going to take design tips from a gay guy over a computer geek???

    Oh. Right. Nevermind.

By jvon on Mar 26, 2007

  24. Exactly.

By Loren Feldman on Mar 26, 2007

  25. Thanks for the love, guys. I notice most of the bleeding red is gone- no relation to my comments, of course.

By Ilya Lichtenstein on Mar 26, 2007

  26. Dont start getting cocky you little pisher. ;-)

    Vince Williams is my guide.

By Loren Feldman on Mar 26, 2007

  27. Vince,

Next time you get to NYC, please stop over. My apartment desperately needs some help.

    Jvon,

Good call with Glenn Reynolds. I am a huge Porkbusters fan.

By Josh on Mar 26, 2007

  28. Glenn’s a great guy with an eye for news (real news) and a nose for bullshit. I hit his site more than anything else on the Internet.

By jvon on Mar 26, 2007

  29. I like Ilya.

    Josh,

    Anything for you.

By Vince Williams on Mar 26, 2007

  30. You ever look at http://www.useit.com?

The king of usability has such an awesomely usable website eh?

But you’re right about the bloggers, although Jason’s isn’t that bad.

By Jim Kukral on Mar 26, 2007

  31. Give Scoble credit- At least he hired a kick ass editor .. Rocky ..whatever’s his name- That’s a BIG improvement

By Eff Ewe on Mar 26, 2007

  32. I’m glad someone called these guys out! great job loren. :)

By Terry Ng on Mar 26, 2007
