If you haven’t already done so, check out the Santa Monica pier (the one with the fair on top of it) and the 3rd Street Promenade in the evening (from Santa Monica pier, ocean in the back walk straight, second cross street… to your left).
It’s nice, street performers performing on the street for change (some are actually pretty good), restaurants in a pedestrian zone, which is in California already a novelty in itself hehe.

This is funny…I feel sorry for poor, lampooned Shel.

Well, looks like you won’t getting laid in Cali walking around with a puppet on your rosy palm.

I feel the same as @enric
Shel if you are reading this I am sorry for laughing. I hope you do have your day.
Loren: Can you please pick on other people or fuck with random people on the street? Maybe you have and just didn’t see it.

Venice…Loren’s there…two of my best college buds are there…Shell Puppet is there - all at the same time.
Text messages about freaks and clown shows one minute, Shell Puppet video at the pipe shop the next. Surreal.
I often say I don’t miss CA (and there’s plenty NOT to miss), but little things like Venice Beach remind me that I do.

just a tech question : how do you shoot from 6 feet away ? who’s holding the camera ? obviously not a tripod (it’s shaky).

I always enjoy waiting to hear “SAP” spot at the end and whatever business they happen to be in for the episode.
