The Rose is older than Kevin Rose. How sad.

Loved the Midler interplay. Shel is blossoming and earning his stripes as a seasoned interviewer with experience, personality and chutzpah.

Rose should regrow the scraggly beard– it gives him gravitas. He looks like such a kid without it.;-)

Kevin SHOULD be concentrating on Digg. Quit letting his devs run all over him and HE should set the standard of how shit gets done. Ok enough ranting, great interview Shel. Oh yeah, Jay Adelson loves Verners.

I love Verners too. Spouse buys up whatever inventory is on the shelf when she finds it.

My long distance uninformed take on Rose is that I think the guy has his act together. Can’t say the same for many in the semi-relevant hyper-insular tech community.

Just riffing…but if I were involved in Pownce I would be pushing it HARD right about now as an almost exact Twitter clone, but more featured and more stable. They have an opportunity handed to them and they should take it. Ditch the pride of being a “multimedia file sending” service and go for the 140(ish) character messaging angle right now.

The Twitter community is ripe for this type of move. They want stability for their hard-earned $0.

Then again, maybe Pownce would stumble with the workload as well.
