  5. The argument that we can’t deport the illegal aliens in this country because of their quantity is a major cop out. Law enforcement can’t catch everyone that commits homicide either but we still try to and don’t have a policy that rewards murderers (as well as rapists and others that commit violent crimes of which there are many) for their illegal acts the way many politicians plan to reward these lawbreakers with amnesty.

    I know running across the border is not the same as killing or raping someone but the fact that many of this country’s leaders will not even attempt to enforce our nation’s laws, especially in a post-9/11 world where would-be terrorists can easily skirt tougher travel requirements by simply arriving via Mexico, makes you wonder about the leadership abilities of Thompson and his ilk that support this clear lack of priorities.
