I hate this Microsoft company, they have 0 strength in innovation, all they did for 25 years was copying, benchmarking and acquiring other companies. Their growth is superficial and that’s why this brand will be gone in a few years.
Best puppet ever, Loren. It looks so real. And, I can’t even see you moving your lips. But, can you drink a glass of water while she sings “Night and Day”?
What’s not so boring about the Microsoft going after Yahoo! is that they are taking a bath on Vista (call it Suksta. I’ll give you a percentage of the gross every time you do.) and realize that OS is becoming secondary to a box that can get you on the web. Who needs Microsoft Office when there is Open Office, or Google Docs… Kick the bloatware out the door with it’s pants in it’s hands I say… So, Microsoft in suckatude… not so boring. Not an E ticket ride either… but, you know, it’s a blog.
And of course, the sanctimonious arrogant bleating of the resident representative of cult Mac that soon follows the wallowing moans of the Windows user. It’s like opera without music, and words, and meaning. But, the subtext is great.
FAScinating! So that’s why Apple was able to bring their multi-touch surface interface to market long before any sign of the Microsoft product entering the field.
How’s that MS Surface machine working out for you, buddy?
Besides, correct me if I’m wrong, but doesn’t the guy who lead development on multi-touch surface-based technology (Jeff Han) work for Apple?
Be sure to let us all know when the IP lawsuit gets filed.
Cult members are those who dismiss the decent qualities of another competitive system because they adhere to the belief that one system makes you a hiptard, the other doesn’t.
No system is infallible. Macs suck sometimes. PC’s suck sometimes. Linux sucks sometimes.
The only constant is that people want to be hipper than their cubicle pals.
Alex, I have had all three. But, I will says this: I’ve had Macs that decide to crap out and I’ve stood in line at Tekserve like a schlub only to be told by a smirky pimple faced dweeb with fish taco breath that my mainboard is “frakked” and that I’ll have to leave it to “be evaluated”. The end result was that I lost my data and had to buy an entire new laptop. (Three years old. Full Warranty. But, not for a new replacement.) I kept that Mac pristine. It almost never went anywhere.
Remember the G3 and G4 towers with the nice looking loop handles on top? I was going to buy one. I was at Tekserve and I asked the guy “what’s the deal with the handles?” and at that moment a kid comes in the door holding his brand new G3 by the handles. “oh.”
I’ve had a dozen computers, Mac, PC, and used Windows, Mac and Linux. They all have their drawbacks. But, I have to say, I’ve never had to hump my PC laptop or desktop to a repair shop. NEVER.
A friend of mine, who is a Mac programmer has a little saying:
“Mac owners want to be buried with their Macs, but are afraid that when they die it will be in the shop.”
As far as the OS… at this juncture Mac OS has issues but is pretty stable, XP is stable, has issues, Linux is stable, has issues. Vista blows. But, if you get Vista your deserve it. I’ve had some Mac OS horror stories that were similar. (OS X anyone?)
It’s a matter of randomness. Anyway, OS will be dead in ten years.
Mac vs PC discussion is an endless one. It’s like IE against Firefox or Opera, or “G-d exist” vs “He doesn’t”. We’ll debate about these even in 100s of years (if MS still exists

FYI, all you bunch of idiots who praise apple for “inventing” next-gen GUIs, you’d better check this out : http://www.microsoft.com/surface/index.html
MS Surface’s UI was developed 4 years before steve jobs literally copied it to implement the flash based iphone’s UI.
now who’s copying who ?

@Anonymous: How the hell do you propose Apple got their hands on the UI for Surface, a still unreleased product? You’re a dope, that’s how.

Shit. I can’t believe I’m in a Mac versus PC discussion. Someone kick me in the nuts to wake me up. What a bore.

If human beings are debating about which browser is / was better in 100 years, I’d also hope that the suicide rate was upwards of 90 percent.
