  2. I thought that it was the 11th of Nov because thats when the WWI ceasefire was signed, which ended the war?

  3. God bless your dad. Wow, five purple hearts. That was such a different time with really noble people. That just gives me real chills — the good kind — about what you said.

  4. You are both correct. It was the exact time.

  5. @David: Yes, in 1918 on the 11th of November gun fire ceased; yet it was in 1921 to commemorate this date that these countries buried their solders at these honorable points at 11:00 on the date 11/11. It was known as Armistice Day from that point forward until 1954 when President Eisenhower signed a bill proclaiming it Veterans Day.

  6. Frank,

They’re still around. It’s just not fashionable anymore.

  7. Some people think it’s unpatriotic not to support the Bush/Cheney administration in its ill-considered military adventurism.

Fortunately, we citizens still have the right to disagree, but at times even that bedrock freedom seems at risk of being extinguished by this very administration’s un-American assaults on the Constitution.

  8. If my town were being invaded by enemy forces, I wouldn’t look to the overweight desk-bound warriors who beat the drums for war.

I’d round up all the gay guys, because as a group, we’re in much better physical condition than the fat guys, and WE would kick ass while the fat boys wheezed and waddled.

I promise you, I would die defending my own.

But I’m not gonna let some punk-ass Connecticut Yankee pretending to be a Texan tell me what’s right.

  9. Like I’ve said before, I can’t wait for this administration to be over so people will stop blaming all the problems we’re having on George Bush. A Clinton administration, for example, will look shockingly similar to this one in every significant way.

And if your town was invaded by enemy forces, you’d be hiding under a desk or something and wondering what the fuck was going on, while people who fight for a living sorted it out.

  10. Fuck you, Jvon.

I’d kick your pussy ass in seconds, fat boy.

  11. Just stating a fact there, Rambo. You don’t have the necessary training. Neither do I, come to that.

By jvon on Nov 12, 2007

  12. Jvon, a soldier that looked like you would be an insult to our military.

I did a hundred push-ups, and I’m on my way to ride my bike twenty miles.

    Kiss my ass, punk.

  13. Alright, after that maybe you can do go wax on, wax off with Mr. Miagi and you will be ready to take on the Cubans when they invade. ;)

And you have no idea what I even look like, Vince. Do you threaten everyone you disagree with or should I be flattered?

  14. Her father would have probably killed both of you lunatics by now you know this right?

  15. Doubt it, because an exchange this stupid can only take place on the Internet.

  16. FIVE ?!?!

I bet he was an amazing man. The greatest generation is gone. Sad

By Dick on Nov 12, 2007

  17. @Dick… Thanx for getting back to the point of the video. Yes, he was an amazing man. Hey Vince… having a bad day

  18. Jvon, I’ve seen your ugly mug at your blog, dope.

You look like an overweight person to me.

Michelle, I’m fine. If some smart ass little punk impugns my patriotism or my willingness to defend my country, I speak my mind.

By the way, Jvon, there aren’t enough of the National Guard around a lot of towns to defend them because they’re being worked to death in Iraq, or they’ve returned, and suffer post traumatic stress syndrome, only to be abused by the VA.
