    2. Agreed 100%.

    3. Watching the Motorola presentation was painful. Think of what Motorola paid, not just for the space, but to have the presentation made, everything.

That presentation was probably worth a lot in future and return business for Motorola as well, and until Gizmodo fessed up to their crap, they just looked unprofessional and unprepared.

Damn straight teeth should have been sent flying. These guys are buying into their own freakin press. And as for press, I don’t think they should hold their breath waiting for next years invite.

Real business colliding with the frat/party/geek boy mentality of the valley. Idiots, every one of them.

    4. I lost sight of Gizmodo about the same time I tired of Gridskipper: eons ago. Does anyone really pay attention to these sites anymore or is it just me?

    5. @MsInformation Well, it’s one of the top ten blogs in the world so, while I agree that it’s gone downhill since Joel Johnson left, it’s still pretty influential.

It’s still just plain lame of them. I wholeheartedly agree with Loren on this one. I wonder if Engadget will get access to events that Gizmodo gets shut out of and increase their separation. Nick Denton probably wouldn’t be terribly happy about that.

    6. Seriously!!! Dood, they’re just gone too far this time.

No wonder Michelle thinks all men are dopes :-(

    7. Somebody’s gonna go MMA on their asses. Little putzes. It’s easy to be a punk when you get paid minimum wage…it’s a lot more when you’re hanging real money out there.

Here’s an idea for them. There’s an Irish bar in Philly called Fado. It’s on the corner of 15th and Locust. They have tons of TVs. And they show soccer matches in the full bar. How about if those little punks from Gizmodo go there and try out their little prank? That would be really, really funny. They might get a little South Philly justice.

    8. Couldnt agree more, what bunch of fucking nobheads, I’m telling ya if that was me doing the demo and they fucked it up I would have layed them out.
      Total and utter pricks

    9. I discovered 1938 Media from reading a post on TechCrunch’s piece on Loren’s rant on Seesmic. I clicked on the link and watched the vid. I thought entertaining… Now watching this vid on Gizmodo and I have a new found respect for Loren. I’m happy you decided to make a piece on the Gizmodo. Not cool at all when setting up a little 6′x6′ booth at a Vegas convention already costs $6000 + the gear, set up etc. Not cool at all.

    10. @Peter Thanks. Of course, I do feel a bit sheepish but point well taken!

    15. @”Can’t someone still beat them up?”

      It could be arranged.;-)

    16. I feel like a moron right now, because I have no idea what’s going on here. (What did Gizmodo do?) Somebody help me out. I’m in slow class today. :)

    17. Art, I was in the same boat until I found this post which explains it fairly well. Apparently, the Gizmodos turned off a bunch of TVs during a Motorola presentation: http://serverbeach.wordpress.com/2008/01/10/gizmodo-stunt-at-ces/

    18. I agree with Loren - decidedly NOT cool. I’ve been on all sides of a trade show - organizer, exhibitor and attendee and I have to say if I found these punks walking my floor, I’d have their sorry asses hauled out and whaled on.

    19. I hope the lawyers of those companies are firing up and gunning for Gizmodo. Agree with you Loren, not funny.
