What are people saying?

Give me the studies from Harvard and Yale that say there isn’t global warming.
    Got to start somewhere.
Sounds like you are generally just a disagreeable person.

hey, Hugh McLeod aka Gaping Void just twittered a link to this video, with “I heart Loren Feldman”.

So glad I discovered you, by a fluke, long before all these A Listers did. I’m so much smarter than them, in fact, than all of them put together. Sometimes.

I wonder if you could distribute vids via Pownce?

Not only as Americans are we hypocritical, we are also lazy. Well certainly I am. I bought green friendly light bulbs for my outside decorative lighting. Not because I wanted to save the world, but because they last longer and I don’t have to change them as often. See lazy. I probably could change the world if I could get my own children not to turn on every light in the house during the middle of the day and then go outside and play. Actually I again don’t want to change the worked as much as i want to stop paying for that electric bill!

Don’t worry people once we run out of fossil fuels and the important people cannot fly their jets and drive their SUV’s, we’ll just come up with something else that will benefit our need to have the best and most and feed our need of instant gratification.

Thanks Loren I needed that this morning.

    let’s see the studies Loren.

all change starts with awareness, and at the very least, the issue was in the global news for a day. millions of small changes add up to a trend.

this post is way to cynical for my monday morning.

I’m still putting up solar panels, though. My thing is hot showers. The moment I step into the shower, all thought of conserving water and energy washes down the drain…

I like all of that green building, alt energy stuff, but not because I think it will save the planet.

I don’t see how Americans using 1 square of toilet paper is going to counteract China…

AlGore and Sting are going to need to plant 100,000 trees now to offset Live Earth, and

I’d take American hypocrisy over European any day.

ps: what’s it really about? Money and power?

    Most Brits aren’t buying it:

    http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/6263690.stm

The whole solar system is getting hotter…Mars, Saturn, Jupiter. Polar caps on Mars are melting. Saturn’s and Jupiter’s moons are melting. The Sun is getting hotter. Look through the space.com website, among other places. I’m not convinced humans, Americans in particular, can be rightly blamed for this.

the thing i find hypocritical about live-earth is that the stars didn’t play for free, they (and the spectators too) came to the concerts in gas guzzling airplanes, trains, boats and SUVs and also there was an lot of fuel and electricity used to put on the show.

Yes Yes totally lame waste of fucking time. Your right. Probably.

    But wtf?

    Lots of studies?

    Weak.

God I hate this Bill O’Reilly shit.

I don’t know how sold on GW I am either. But one thing I do know. There are not LOTS of studies. If you take out the ones commissioned by the oil concerns, how many credible ones would you have?

This is the kind of attitude that gets our country into things we cannot get out of.

Loren - YOU are what’s wrong with this country.

I don’t really believe that. It just seemed like a good time to throw in a provocation.

    God Bless America

Global warming is real, it’s just that:

    A) It’s nowhere near as catastrophic as Al Gore and his ilk make it out to be. (The Earth was much warmer than this during the Middle Ages) and…

    B) There’s little to nothing humans can do to change the temperature one way or the other.

You know, every time I feel as though I’m starting to get too heavy, I’ll gorge myself on food in preparation for spending the next week or so eating lite.

And even though I feel better about myself for eating lighter, I never have had a net loss of weight though.

Similarly, I don’t see how gorging on massive, energy hogging stadium concerts, with a side dish of massive energy hogging big media coverage and travel is a good way to kick off a lite lifestyle.

I see this has brought ALL the bullshit out.

    I live in a one-room house (12×14 feet,honest) with a loft, and a bathroom attached.

I compost my organic waste to make fertilizer for my garden.

I guess that’s the difference between me and the nouveau riche Republicans who drive Hummers and build 12,000 foot McMansions at the beach on postage-stamp sized lots.

I hope global warming buries them under ten feet of water. I’ll still be high and dry, with an ocean view.

    Nice.

    Hey Vince –

I’d bet there are just as many (probably more if you include the celebrity sector) nouveau riche Democrats out there with their Hummers, 12,000 foot McMansions, Boeing jets, Global Express, Out the country but the blueberry still connect
On the low but the yacht got a triple deck…

and their all telling me to live your lifestyle.

Mark, you’re out of your mind.

I work on those fancy yachts, and I don’t think I have a single client who is a Democrat.

Possibly one, and he’s a native of the Middle East.

    mmm,
Loren main point is “hypocritical bullshit”
    and he is right,
you say that you care but you act that you don’t.
Who wants to give up her/his $$ way of life, not me.

This event is just some lobbying & eventually raise awareness in the american way, a show.

But Loren seriously, global warming is a fact like ice age, it’s just cycle like economics, it happens since the big bang
    hot-deaddinosaurs-cold-hot-cold-jesus-hot … ;0]

I just read the comments, and boy some people just add to the joke.

I mean, they’re serious that they can seriously do something to “change the world”? What a bunch of f-ing losers. Excuse my language. I mean, people pleading for you to listen to them is a good enough reason to know that they don’t know what they’re talking about. I wouldn’t count on them knowing, or telling, the truth.

    As allways… I pleasent show!

I am also in the believes that global warming is some sort of “hypocritical bullshit”. The earth is an cyclus that has been happening before.

What do people say when we experience a iceage within the next 10-20 millennium or so. “Stop using your fridges, it is causing the damn polars to freeze!”.

And yes, human can have something to do with the rapid warming. But is not the main reason.

    Birger out..
