This is what I’m thinking for the Hollywood vibe. Laurie Simmons and Meryl Streep are a lot more interesting to me than Scoic and Loble. Shel and I get this stuff.

Recently tech pundit Mike Arrington and Rachel Sklar got into a twitter fight about women and tech. I was going to make a video but then I realized there was this. I didn’t even know Blodget did video. I have to admit his efforts are not nearly as frightening as Arrington’s. This is two guys sitting around talking. It’s way more natural and normal than the High School AV Club Mikey’s built. I feel so bad for those guys. The whole looking into the wrong camera, no sound, the crazy set, wrong aspects, they clearly have no direction. Although waiting around for Henry with a 30 sec ad up front is tough. Is it horrible? Let’s just say it’s not nearly as horrible as Techcrunch TV. There are certain guys on the web you don’t fuck with. Shoemoney is one of them. Franklin Langford is finding that out. Good stuff from a civilian. Mark is a smart guy. He works for a real big company in a real big job. This is wonderful for me to watch in a weird way. This is transparency. A smart, connected guy not afraid to be himself and have fun, talk some shit, and just be real. It’s also funny and true. This is the vibe of the upcoming Audience Conference. Comedians, executives, friends, all laughing and learning about audience engagement. Judging from this audience, I’d say Mark knows a thing or two about it. |
