Holland Tunnel: Hothouse Flowers Interview

SXSW Can Be Serious Business

I know the true point of SXSW for most of you is to get drunk and hide from your life under the guise of doing some sort of actual work, I don’t have that luxury, and I like my life.  I’m sure I’m not the only one who feels this way, and while I enjoy a nice cocktail as much as the next guy, the point is to change the status quo. At least that’s the point for me. We are at a really unique time in history. Content, Distribution, Advertising, PR, all these things are changing, and rather than sit around and get drunk and talk about it, my team wants to help shape it.

With these thoughts in mind, if you are of like mind and need straight talk and some help with all of this nonsense and what it means for your company, we want to meet with you.

Contact Dina Riccobono if you would like to see us at SXSW or to schedule a call.

And Then There’s Maude

During last night’s tribute to artists there were two glaring omissions. Farrah Fawcett and Bea Arthur. Two women who changed the course of American culture. While many will write about Farrah’s nipples and hair, I’ve chosen to bring attention to Miss Arthur. Bea was a genius. She had some of the best comic timing ever. No one could take a pause and then shoot you a look like you are the biggest dope in the world. She made it okay for a woman to be less than physically perfect and still be a force in the popular culture. She had tremendous influence, and I don’t mean web nonsense influence. I mean real influence. On other comics, our culture, and how we look at ourselves. Truly a legend, and while the academy managed to overlook her, I can’t. Thank you Bea where ever you are.

Here she is goofing.

Crunchgate – The Blame Game

So after seeing Jason Calacanis getting thrown under a bus by you dopes I am forced once again to stop doing important puppet arts work on the Cashmore puppet to address some issues.

I knew it was Divvyshot a long time ago. Many people did.

Jason Calacanis was not my source. If you search I never wrote a thing saying it was divvyshot.

No emails from Jason were in any way involved in the making of this story. Nothing was spoken about, reprinted, or transmitted by me in any way.

What did happen was that Sam Odio confessed due to the pressure of the situation.
