RIP, Anna Nicole.

That was good, Loren. I assure you, though, that she’ll never have the eternal appeal of our culture’s very own Moon Goddess, Marilyn Monroe.

These other dim lights aren’t even worth consideration as avatars of the eternal Feminine. Marilyn will shine forever as the luminescent face of our unrealised dreams.

Everybody and his brother is claiming to be the father of her baby daughter. Now it’s Prince von Anhalt, the husband of Zsa Zsa Gabor. It just gets weirder and weirder. I’m fully expecting Donald Trump to be the next to claim paternity.

The Monroe for the digital age? What a depressing thought. With Monroe, you kind of wished you knew what she was thinking - with Anna Nicole, you wished you didn’t know. Monroe had aspirations, Anna Nicole had schemes.

way to go loren, that’s right on w/the lindsay-paris-anna combo. people keep saying she was nowhere near the movie star marilyn monroe was, but i think that is not a fair comparison. movies were the ONLY visual medium of the marilyn era. if anna were around then, she would have been in more movies. we were all her fans, i’m sorry we never got to see the comeback from the comeback tour.

Marilyn Monroe of the digital age? Nope, not quite. Anna Nicole was a huge fan of Marilyn Monroe–she admitted that herself on CNN. She tried to talk, walk, laugh and even die like Marilyn Monroe. There is a difference–can you see this, Loren?
Marilyn had a huge body of work, when she left the same way as Anna Nicole has left us–and as shocking, too.
But what stikes me more is, how greed driven people are–not talking about the now FIVE candidates of shame, who want the multi million plus the media attention, of course, too.
If the billionaire’s fucking family would have settled with Anna Nicole–she would have gotten her life back together and she would not have needed this weirdo Howard K. Stern (And the OSCAR for best tear jerker performance in a plane goes to…..)
Anna Nicole Smith does not have my respect as an actress, as all, like Marilyn Monroe forever will have.
But Anna Nicole Smith will and must be remembered as a brave fighter!!!
For her own rights–she married that old geezer, and she kissed him too (those pictures should be sold as best working DIET–cause they surely make you lose food and appetite!), Anna Nicole was very successful and persistant, and after 10 years of fighting for her rights, she must have just gotten weaker….but she still could be alive, if she would have gotten, what she really deserved for sleeping with a half-corpuse.
R.I.P. ANNA NICOLE–You are a true inspiration–also for myself. Now you can have champagne, with your idol, with your so beloved: Marilyn Monroe.

Monroe had qualities that none of the other people mentioned here had: humility and grace, among other qualities, that added to her appeal. These other women tend to have a lot of gall.
While Anna Nicole fought for ten years to defraud a rich old geezer’s estate, Monroe is famous for saying, after a particularly financially ill-advised decision, “I don’t care about the money - I just want to be wonderful.”
While Monroe conjured feelings of desire, longing and passion; Anna Nicole was more of a cautionary tale of STD’s and shots of penicillin in free clinics.
I doubt Anna Nicole will be having champagne with Monroe in the hereafter, as Bellinghaus suggests. She’s more likely shooting up with John Holmes.
The differences between Anna Nicole and Monroe in death continue…In both cases, evidence of the existence of karma: Joe DiMaggio was the picture of grief at Monroe’s death, refusing to publicly speak about her, but having roses delivered to her crypt for more than twenty years. Contrast that to Howard K. Stern, who continues to whore Anna Nicole, with camera crew in tow, using somebody else’s baby as a prop, doing to Anna Nicole what she did to that old billionaire whe was defrauding.
I don’t mean to sound like a know-it-all….I dunno…just my humble opinion…

You are truely a kind person, Jesse and I understand your anger towards–no, wait a second–WHY are you so mad at Anna Nicole who now has been finally burried and the real $$$ war is about to start….I admit that I did not quite understand Anna Nicole’s “wedding,” while her son Daniel wasn’t even buried. But Anna Nicole Smith was a true FIGHTER!
She will forever have my deepest respect–because she did fight for herself and her rights! 10 years of this sick court war finally took it’s toll.
Joe DiMaggio??? Are you fuc*ing kidding me? That psycho was beating Marilyn on a regular basis, because she got more attention than this CEAP cheap cheap-legend!
You do sound a know it all, but I bet that is, because you read the wrong books. Do you also believe that Marilyn “slept with Elvis, screwed Joan Crawford and was hiding UFO facts, with the Kennedys..with which she slept of course, too?!” BULLSHIT!

Last question: Who are YOu shooting up with when you are dead? Jannis Joplin or Jim Morrison? Oh, sorry–I forgot, you wont be permitted into the VIP launch–in HELL! Sorry.
