Mike Arrington recently submitted an ad (see below) for the newest “Crunch” site to CBS for airing during the Super Bowl. CBS chose not to air it. I do not agree with this decision. It smacks of homotechnophobia to me, and I don’t like it one bit. Mike should be applauded for bringing homosexual men into the tech community. Apparently it’s fine to be a lesbian in tech, but if you want to be a gay technologist, no go. Look at poor Owen Thomas, he was driven out of tech and forced to get a high paying prestigious job with a real company. That’s just not right in my book. Think of the cross linking possibilities lost with CrunchGear. This is a real shame, and shows just how closed minded the media is when it comes to homosexual technologists. I’m only hoping that Mike fights this with all the vigor he has, he took on the Video Professor, he can take on the breeders.

Robert Scoble is an expert. He has an uncanny knack unparalleled in the entire media and tech industries to always say the stupidest things possible to once again prove the idiocy that will be his legacy.

Dan Farber At The Audience Conference

We will be releasing the audio from the Audience Conference. These speeches are important and I want to make them as widely available as possible. The Audience Conference was a very special event. The audience took over and decided en masse that this was an event for them. It’s almost like a club if I may be so bold. Nonetheless the knowledge that was shared by these brilliant speakers is too important not to share.

This speech is brought to you by Porter Novelli.

Boost Mobile In The Game

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Boost Mobile. All opinions are 100% mine.

With all the talk about AT&T and the iPhone it’s easy to forget that it’s not for everyone. It’s expensive and requires a commitment not found in most marriages. Boost mobile has a different idea. I like this especially for students, and people who can’t afford to waste money on nonsense. $50 a month for an unlimited plan with a pretty sweet phone as well. It’s so easy for us to get caught up in the latest craze, and to try and keep up with the dopes of the tech world. It’s completely crazy and not a requirement to be one of the cool kids. Trust me I know, I am one of the cool kids.

Here are the details.

Price: $129.99 (excluding taxes) with free shipping when purchased through the link.
Model Number: SANYO Incognito™ SCP6760
Unlimited Plan: $50 Monthly Unlimited talk, text & web, no contract required.

The SANYO Incognito features are impressive as well. 2MP camera with VGA camcorder, music and video player, enhanced web browsing. EVDO capabilities and a full QWERTY keyboard, stay connected via your favorite social networking sites. Additional features include Multi-Media messaging (Picture & Video), Stereo Bluetooth® Capable & GPS Enabled.

All in all I think this is a very good deal.
