Now the latest rumor is that google is somehow concerned with twitters search function. Sure they are. I give my thoughts in a video in the subscription forums.

Overall I thought the Oscars were the best they were in years. It was entertaining and felt intimate.

Andrew Suber is one of the characters I met in Alpine, Texas as part of the work I’m doing for Stormhoek Vineyards. He is considered the smartest guy in town. I’m sure Hugh will tell you different. He runs a trivia night every week that pulls out the brightest of Alpine. Cowboys know culture. I knew I liked him when I was goofing on Hugh about him being a banished prince of Scotland, and he jumped right in with an equally bad Scottish accent. I found him to be sharp and interesting. He loves the avant garde. We were talking film and his quote was “I want it to be as close to a hallucination as possible.” Eraserhead is considered pedestrian by Andrew.

Andrew thought he wanted to be a lawyer. He came to his senses and now is interested in other things. He’s gonna write science fiction. Yes he is on twitter.
