By Loren Feldman on Dec 29, 2007

  9. Loren .. you rock.. Been following your videos for few days and i’m french :=) Love your vids .. You’re one of the few blogs out there who actually is making me laugh .. Your videos make me consider that 90% of the reading of other blogs is a total loss of time.. but bear with me .. im french :)

By Alex on Dec 29, 2007

  10. Wow, Thanks Alex really cool. Now keep Loic and all the other frenchies in line for me would you please.

By Loren Feldman on Dec 29, 2007

  11. you’re totally right about facebook. SN is a joke.
take me : i’m originaly french (keep reading), and moved to hawaii (maui) 7 years ago. got my facebook account, like 58 millions other idiots. then some old friends from France started to contact me, because it’s hype over there to belong to a website in english, before even they launch a french version. starting to chat with some old bitches i used to date like 10 years ago. even to my 2 best friends i know for 20 years and that i left behind. but now what ?… i mean, what’s the point of SN ? supposedly it’s great for expats like me to keep contact with their past. but guess what ? this is a joke. first, i don’t wanna hear my old friends have all 2 children, succeeded in life, and i’m a broke divorced single. and i mean, once you chatted and exchanged stories of what you’ve done for the last 10 years, i repeat : now what ? you can’t meet the folks. by now you probably realized you don’t have that much in common with those guys from college. trust me, SN is only valuable for people you know that live NEXT to you. but guess what : you could grab your fucking phone or IM them. And how about email ? i mean, come on … poking people ? grow up, idiots. SN is a joke and FB will be history in less than 2 years when people will start realizing the vacuity of the concept.

  12. I hate predictions. Damn funny though.

By Aaron on Dec 29, 2007

  13. Loren, great predictions — but for some reason the skullcap made you look like an extra from One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest :-)

By Mathew Ingram on Dec 29, 2007

  14. Great. I need to work on my “image” for the new year I think. I’ve got a lot of resolutions I need to make happen this year and I’m going to. BTW You better invite me back to mesh this year, and I’m not sharing the stage. I don’t need the Keynote or something fancy like that, but something, maybe the Psychology of Social Media.

By Loren Feldman on Dec 29, 2007

  15. How about we shorten it to “The Psycho of Social Media” :-)

By Mathew Ingram on Dec 29, 2007

  16. You missed one Loren. In 2008 1938 Media will finally create it’s very own favicon!

By LD on Dec 30, 2007

  17. Loren Feldman will continue to be lebeled as innovative for simply telling a group of self important dopey cunts to think for themselves.

By Dick on Dec 30, 2007

  18. Dick,

Something kinda cool about that. We’re gonna have laughs this year.

By Loren Feldman on Dec 30, 2007

  19. Loren

Something VERY cool about learning from art. Well, I mean, what better way to learn than from feeling, right?

I find it very hopeful to believe that there’s a human side to all this ’social media bull-shit’ we still don’t understand.

Yeah, we’re going to have some laughs this year.

By Dick on Dec 30, 2007

  20. Dick

“I find it very hopeful to believe that there’s a human side to all this ’social media bull-shit’ we still don’t understand.”

    me too.

By Loren Feldman on Dec 30, 2007

  21. the human side is pretty simple : people are alone and in seek of their 15 minutes of fame. i mean, who in real life has 200 friends ? come on …

By jaws on Dec 30, 2007

  22. Innovation is tough stuff, that’s why most have jobs.

We can slam FaceBook, Ning and all the other wannabe socnets but my hats off to all those (including Loic) that dive in the deep end and attempt to make a go of it.

That includes you too Loren. You’re going places in ‘08… keep up the good work (fight).

Happy New Year everybody! (U2 Vince)

By Tiga Beck on Dec 30, 2007

At least I’m not the only one around here who has a temper. Best if we all get along, eh?;-)

In the spirit of the season, I’d like to extend my personal apology to Jvon, if he should happen to read this, for excoriating him.;-)

Life is too short. Go 1938!

By Vince Williams on Dec 30, 2007

  29. Speaking of the human face of web 2.0, there are tech media types following my twitterless Twitter.

    WTF?

  30. Jecklin, a twiterless twitter? oh my.
