Yeah, I know it’s crazy. Live in a few weeks.
UPDATE: To reiterate what I say on the video for the apparent dopes out there.
We were not acquired by cnet.
I will be writing a column there and 1938 Media will produce 1 video a week for them.
1938 Media is free to continue to work with other companies.

What about the rumor that nobody ever issued any rumor about this news ?
Anyways, thanks for the info… I’ll be glad to read and see your stuff there too.
Replyhot damn loren! finally some income from all this effort?
ReplyBut are you still going to be able to say fuck and stuff like that?
ReplyThat’s huge news! Congrat’s, Loren. You’re entertaining a lot of people and working hard; much deserved success.
One question…will there be a Dan Farber puppet?
Follow up…will the puppet know Kung Fu, and if so, will it challenge Jason Calacanis?
This is exciting stuff.
Best Regards,

ReplyWhen do you start passing out the Shirts, the Free Flash Drives?? You have to take care of the crew..Or is it just you??
ReplyYou should be proud, Loren. You’re a pimp.
less fail more win.
ReplyThat’s fantastic! Way to go Dan Farber for having the foresight. Hope it goes well for you Loren.
…is that the real Chartreuse? If it is, when are you guys hooking your stuff up and making a show?
ReplyFreakin’ congrats, man. You’re the real deal and c|net has a pro journo in you to work with.
ReplyCBS late night show is next! congrats Loren well deserved.
Great validation from Dan “The Blogfather” Farber
ReplyThank you John. You got my act long before a lot of other people. Thanks.
ReplyCongrats Loren. I’m a big fan.
ReplyWhat in the holy hell is c|net?
ReplyLoren, you can barely keep a straight face. You look happy
ReplyI guess I should say congrats, too
Good work, m’man. Good work.
Replydon’t get fired this time
ReplyCongrats buddy, look forward to it.
ReplySo is Arrington disgusted with you about this? He doesn’t seem to be a fan of c|net and was trying to organize the blog world to overthrow them recently wasn’t he?
ReplyGreat. C/Net hires people that routinely post racist commentary. Noted.
ReplyHuge congratulations, Loren- this is damn wonderful news!
[It's also pretty evident that Dan Farber is forward-thinking and, well, gutsy.]
I’m really looking forward to what you’ll do with this greenlight and have no doubt you’ll rock it. Bravo!
ReplyWell done and well deserved Loren! This is a real accomplishment and a great publication to be working with.
Now please get some sleep, it seems the Valley habit of not getting any has caught on to you.
ReplyYour MY bitch now Feldman!
ReplyNice. Well done Loren. Now don’t go fucking up this time. (Yeah… I’m guessing C|Net is not eager to endorse the ‘N’ word. hehehe.)
You’re a legend. A putz, but a legend.
*(This shit makes you laugh right? You know I’m always just kidding right? I had an hallucination of you crying in the dark… I didn’t like it, thought it prudent to include this disclaimer with my trollish swill this time.)*
ReplyAnd Farber continues to suck the air out of the room for Arrington and Co. Don’t think you’ll be getting to stay at Techcrunch Manor anymore.
ReplyCongrats Loren! Now I guess TechCrunch-TV is out of the question, right?
ReplyWell earned.
And very cool to see play out from my angle.
ReplyI will be writing there and will do one video a week for them. It is a non-exclusive production deal if you will. 1938 Media is still an independent production house free to work with whomever we like. Thanks for all the support.
ReplyCongratulations Loren!
Replywow.
well, you’ll no longer be staying at my place when you’re out here in silicon valley.
ReplyYes I am Mike.
ReplyCongrats
ReplyCongrats!
Enjoy making words and stuff. You had better BITE the hand that feeds ya!

Craig
ReplyCongratulations! Looking forward to it.
ReplyCoolness - but I knew before any of the dopes-
ReplyRocky please stop sucking up to Loren because you’re fired. don’t show up for work tomorrow
ReplyProtect ya Neck.
(And this is sure to make Julia Allison really hot. You’re close man, you’re very close.)
ReplyCongrats Loren!!!
ReplyAny former Scout owner is a friend of mine even if he did ‘throw away the roof’. congrats, looking forward to the show…
ReplyAwesome! Can’t wait to read what you write.
Replygood stuff man. congrats. you are entertaining and thus you deserve it in my mind.
ReplyGreat news Loren! - Looking forward to checking out your new CNet-tized content!
ReplyCongrats!
ReplyCongratulations Loren.
ReplyCongrats, Loren.
To me, you’re the politically incorrect Don Rickles of the web, with more substance, and more bite.
ReplyWay to go, bro. The bar tab is on you next time (or was it last time… I forget).
ReplyNice job, pal. You chased it down and got it. (In a matter of speaking.) I knew you would eventually. Congrats.
ReplyCongrats Lauren and thanks for blocking me on Twitter….dickhead!
Now, come on, who did you sleep with to get this job?
Aronado
ReplyNow that you own CNN, does this mean you get to sit in for Larry King? “Tonight. Is Julia Allison an alien from the planet Playtex or just another bimbo with a big head and the ability to levitate heavy objects with her mind? Stay tuned.”
ReplyEverything You Wanted to Know About 1938Media But Were Afraid to Ask:
Reply1. Why 1938? Where did that number come from?
2. How much does Lauren charge to do one of these videos he keeps telling people he’s available to do?
@gregg dourgarian:
1. Hell with a big H broke out in 1938.
2. Never discuss money outside a deal. It lacks class and professionalism.
ReplyWho the F in their right mind would even think you could acquire CNET? LOLLL
ReplyRock on Loren - but then I always knew…
ReplyDude! I miss the Puppets!
Life is a Bore! Entertain us.
ReplyHey, why don’t you update on Utterz anymore?
Will you be use the puppets on CNET? That should be negotiated separately.
Good Luck
ReplyI am a little late on the CNet video, congratulations great interview.
ReplyLoren when does the .99 cent video fee start?
You definitely got something unique going on here!
